“It was the opportunity of a lifetime. I knew I wasn’t getting another chance to work on a project as special and exciting as this. So I packed my bags and came to Nepal as one of the BlinkNow Sustainability Fellows. I worked on the sustainability aspects of the green campus construction, including waste and water management, sustainable food production, and renewable energy. We had a fun group, and I thoroughly enjoyed working on this project with them. In no time, I fell in love with the people and culture of Nepal. That prompted me to prolong my stay in Nepal beyond the intended five-month duration of the fellowship. Now I’m in my sixth year with BlinkNow. But it still feels like only yesterday when I first began.”
