Kopila Valley School graduates Shova, Bivek, Kalpana, Dipak, and Nisha are studying or working in the USA and attended the premiere of Between the Mountain and the Sky in Telluride, Colorado.

At Mountainfilm festival, we hosted a premiere party for Between the Mountain and the Sky with friends, family, and supporters all celebrating the film’s release to the world. And something magical happened – unprompted and unscheduled, people started giving toasts.

Here is one of our favorite toasts/speeches from Dipak, a Kopila Valley graduate who is attending a university in the U.S.. He talks about your impact in this video, and/or read the transcript below.

You are indeed making a difference as you trust these young people to change the world. We’re excited to watch them with you!

Hello, everyone. I’m Dipak. I just want to say, Mom, Jeremy, thank you for everything that you guys have done for us. But I just want to emphasize all the support we have gotten from everyone that is present in the room and all our supporters. I know, Mom, Jeremy the home over there, all appreciated all of your support. But on behalf of the kids, we wouldn’t be here without you. We’re nothing, Kopila, BlinkNow wouldn’t be anything without each and every one of your support. And on behalf of 90 kids in the children’s home, thank you for all the things you’ve done for us, the second chance you’ve given us. And it’s an absolute honor that you believe in us, trust in us, and supported our cause. Thank you very much. And I would like to end with a quote: “In the blink of an eye, we can all make a difference.”
